Nuno Félix, the secretary of tax affairs, published the law Despacho n. º 8/2022-XXIII, December the 13th. This law changes the rules about invoices and inventory communications and in this document, we will explain the new rules.

Invoices communication

In 2023, the invoices communication to the website E-Fatura can be done until the 8th of the month after the invoice’s date (remember that the 2022 law says that in 2023 it should be done until the 5th of each month).

Now it’s also an obligation to communicate that there were no invoices in that month and it follows the same deadline rules.

Inventories communication

There are also changes in the inventory communications, for the year of 2022 the communication can be done until the end of February 2023.

For 2022 the communication will continue not to include the value of the inventory, only the quantity of items.
